ABOUT US
The Geier Radio System (GRS) is founded and owned by Matthias Geier. GRS provides ham and GMRS radio communications for the Walworth County area and surrounding communities. The Geier Radio System utilizes either conventional or trunking radio operations to meet the needs ham and GMRS radio operators who wish to use the system, whether for hobbies, radio nets, or emergency purposes. GRS also provides radio IDs and talkgroups for anyone who is interested in using the system and its features such as MDC1200, P25 (APCO-25), or Type II trunking.
The Geier Radio System offers programming services to users who unsure or unable to program their radios or other equipment. Before any can be done, users must contact a GRS administrator to coordinate the type of equipment, availability, radio make and model, and other relevant information.
Users who would like their radios to be programmed by GRS must understand and agree that GRS is not responsible for any damages, software or hardware failures, improper or illegal operations, unauthorized use of other frequencies, or any other liability for which GRS could be held accountable. However, GRS administrators or users can assist others in troubleshooting or fixing equipment.
